 We went to Beginner Tango lessons for a delayed Valentine's Day. The location of the classes was the Viva Cabaret Restuarant Bar and the beginner classes take place on Wednesday and the last Sunday of every month.

 Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. During the British rule, it was also the summer capital of India from 1864 to 1939. Shimla is also a hill station and has an altitude of about 2000m (~6500ft) above sea level. It is known to be at the foothills of the Himalayas. From Ludhiana, we came here for a day of sight seeing.

We hired a car with a driver for a four day trip that would allow us to visit some of our relatives from my fathers side as well as do some sightseeing. Today, we drove to Ludhiana in Punjab. My cousin sister (Dimple) and her family stay there and my fathers elder brother was also staying there with them. He had recently had a heart bypass surgery and with my cousin and her husband both being doctors and living in doctors quarters behind the hospital, it was thought it was the best place for him to recover.

The day started very early as we only had a few hours before I flight to Delhi. Our first stop of the day was at Yu Yuan Gardens. Other places we visited today included a silk factory, a flea market and the Pearl Tower.

Today, we left Melbourne for Shanghai flying China Eastern Airlines. As we were descended into Shanghai, we had our first peek of the area surrounding the city. It was beatiful!! There were canals everywhere and they were in perfect grid formation. It shows the effort China has gone through in creating their irrigation systems. From the sky, it looked as if there were more canals than roads. I can't wait till we cruise through some of the water villages on our second trip to Shanghai.

I got word of a new improvised show in Fitzroy through Mosh and they were celebrating their first anniversary today. The spiel I got was:
The Cut & Paste gang are turning one this Thursday and we wanna have one hell of a show and party. Once again, Melbourne's freshest Impro crew will take you on mystical journeys into the unknown, without a script, without a map and handing the wheel over to the audience for one hell of a ride!

Brute Force 3 was a Muay Thai (kickboxing) event held at the Coburg Town Hall. It was billed as consisting of fights at the highest level and the biggest show of Muay Thai seen in Melbourne. There were 10 fights on the cards with the last five being between Australian fighters and Thai/Cambodian fighters.
