TravelAfter much whining about how there is nothing to do around Sudbury and Framingham, we were invited out to Waltham for dinner and drinks at Watch City Micro-brewery in Waltham.

TravelFramingham is a small town 20 miles from Boston CBD and was where Richard and I were staying during our trip to Boston. Our actual work was in Sudbury, which is about 6.5 miles from Framingham. We decided to stay here instead of Sudbury, 'cause all the google searching told us Sudbury was a very small town with nothing in it... not even a pub.

TravelShimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh. During the British rule, it was also the summer capital of India from 1864 to 1939. Shimla is also a hill station and has an altitude of about 2000m (~6500ft) above sea level. It is known to be at the foothills of the Himalayas. From Ludhiana, we came here for a day of sight seeing.

TravelWe hired a car with a driver for a four day trip that would allow us to visit some of our relatives from my fathers side as well as do some sightseeing. Today, we drove to Ludhiana in Punjab. My cousin sister (Dimple) and her family stay there and my fathers elder brother was also staying there with them. He had recently had a heart bypass surgery and with my cousin and her husband both being doctors and living in doctors quarters behind the hospital, it was thought it was the best place for him to recover.

TravelToday, we left Melbourne for Shanghai flying China Eastern Airlines. As we were descended into Shanghai, we had our first peek of the area surrounding the city. It was beatiful!! There were canals everywhere and they were in perfect grid formation. It shows the effort China has gone through in creating their irrigation systems. From the sky, it looked as if there were more canals than roads. I can't wait till we cruise through some of the water villages on our second trip to Shanghai.

TravelMyrna organized a long weekend skirmish trip to Echuca/Moama. This was a followup to the skirmish trip exactly 2 years ago to Mount Gambier. It was also Priyanka's first trip to Echuca and to a skirmish... she had no idea what she was getting into.

TravelWe jumped out of a perfectly good place from a height of 13000 ft and freefell for about 50 seconds before the parachute opened and we glided back down to earth. What more can I say... it was the absolute best thrill you can ever get!!!!

TravelOur plans for the day involved skydiving in the morning and going on the skywire and a quad bike night safari in the evening. Other than that, we had nothing pre-planned... just see what happens during the day. Also, we were staying at Paradiso Backpackers.
